The unmarked cover chased with masks, fruit and foliate scrollwork, the raised fluted centre with detachable nude male figure finial supporting a shield engraved with a demi-lion rampant over a fleur-de-lys on linear ground, the circular body with cagework decoration incorporating shells, scrolls, flowers and lion masks in profile, raised on three sea-horse feet, interior with four detachable triangular compartments, each engraved to sides with birds amidst foliage and flowers
