Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1948 and its subsequent sale on July 14 of the following year.

The paramount elements for a vintage collectible watch are to combine a distinguished signature, with a state of the art complicated movement together with a great design and when possible original accessories. This rare pink gold reference 1579 chronograph meets these demands as not only one of Patek Philippe's most iconic classic chronograph models but retains the original certificate of origin.

Bought by the current owner some 15 years ago it is preserved in very nice condition and is as contemporary and attractive today for a collector as when it was launched in the 1940s.
