Over the years, the US Army Corps of Engineers worked with many watch companies in America and Europe to develop precision time keepers to help with their highly technical work. The present lot is a good example of the important relationship between the Corps and Vacheron Constantin.
It is interesting to note that below the cuvette, the outer rim of the case is stamped 816, the three last digit of the case number 235'816.
