Cal. 1036 GMT mechanical lever movement, 25 jewels, brown coloured gloss dial, luminous dot and dagger numerals, luminous mercedes hands, central hand for the second time zone, sweep centre seconds, magnified window for date, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, revolving blue and red bakelite bezel calibrated for 24 hours, screw back stamped III.59, screw down crown, stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet, case, dial and movement signed

With Bureaux Suisse de Contrôle Officiel de la Marche des Montres/The Rolex Watch Company Limited Watch Rate Certificate no. 810560 dated 24 November 1959, green presentation box and outer packaging.

The reference 6542 offered here for sale is a highly appealing example of the first GMT-Master model, distinguished by the attractive brown discolouration of its dial. Preserved in very honest overall condition, the rarity is enhanced by the presence of the original Bulletin de Marche.
