Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and pink gold indexes in 1954 and its subsequent sale on 23 July 1955. Furthermore accompanied by Patek Philippe servicing tag and servicing invoice dated 1 July 1999.

The present 18K pink gold Ref. 2518 is a rare find and charms by its prominent triangular curved lugs, as well as its excellent overall case condition with a crisp gold mark on the right side. To the best of our knowledge this is only the fifth pink gold reference 2518 to appear at auction to date. For a yellow gold example of the reference see lot 303 in this sale.

Reference 2518 was in production between 1952 and 1956 only. The model was available in yellow and pink gold.
