Specialist note

The Hon. Arthur FitzRoy Somerset was the eldest son of Lord FitzRoy Somerset, and his wife Lady Emily, née Wellesely-Pole. He was a Major in the Grenadier Guards fighting in India. He distinguished himself at the battle of Maharajpoor (see lots 87 & 88), and was fatally wounded at the battle of Ferozeshah in 1845.
