cf. J. van Gest, Jean Prouvé, Cologne, 1991, pp. 94-97 for 'Aéronautique' tables from 1924 and the 1990 edition.
The present table is one of 21 tables that was executed by Tecta, Germany, at the request of Jean Prouvé. Prouvé had originally instructed Tecta to produce a single table for a close friend as he himself no longer had his own workshop and was unable to manufacture the table. Tecta subsequently was granted permission to produce an edition of 21 pieces.
