Made for the Persian market, the decanter with a portrait medallion of Muzaffar al-Din Shah, a lion to the reverse, within tooled gilt cartouches and blue jewelled ornament, the bottles of pear-shaped form variously in green, blue and red glass further decorated in coloured enamels and gilt with scattered flowers and leaves, the jars with scrolling motifs linking roundels with extensive diagonal hatching
