Moscow, 1896, mark possibly that of M.F. Sokolow, the teapot and milk-jug with unidentified assayer's mark, 'A.A.'; the sugar-bowl with unidentified assayer's mark 'L.O.'
Each decorated in niello with two oval cartouches enclosing a view of Moscow, surrounded by intricate scrolling flowers, comprising: a pear-shaped tea-pot and cover, the handle with ivory rings; a milk-jug; a sugar-bowl with hinged overhead swing handle; and a pair of sugar-tongs, the interior gilt, marked on bases and cover
