Of transparent white gauze, one corner embroidered with the monogram of Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna surmounted by an Imperial crown and a ribbon-twist, the valenciennes lace border embroidered with floral sprays and stylised flower heads

By repute, acquired by the mother of the present owner in Leningrad in 1927-1928.
