Breast badge, gold and red, white, and blue enamel, with crown and swords, marked on reverse of suspension loop and connecting ring
2¾ in. (7 cm.) high, with crown

Specialist note

After 1828, orders of St Anne, First and Second Class, were no longer enhanced with diamonds (apart rarely for foreign recipients). Instead, as an additional honour, the badges were awarded with the Imperial crown above the cross. This practice was discontinued in 1874.
