Cal. 554.2 nickel-finished lever movement engraved Brevet du 7 Messidor An 9, 25 jewels, engine-turned silvered dial, Roman numerals on blank silvered chapter ring, blued steel Breguet hands, three-armed one minute tourbillon carriage with monometallic balance exposed through an aperture to 12 o'clock, combined with constant seconds, two subsidiary dials with silvered chapter rings for 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, circular case, coin-edged band, glazed display snap on back, two round chronograph buttons in the band, 18K gold Breguet deployant clasp, case, dial and movement signed

The present watch is a very fine example of a highly complicated wristwatch made by the celebrated house of Breguet, combining a chronograph mechanism and a one minute tourbillon, a device invented and patented by Abraham-Louis Breguet, founder of the renowned firm.
