CROSS, Joseph (engraver and publisher). Cross's New Plan of London. 1836. London: J. Cross, 1 January 1836. Hand-coloured engraved map, 655 x 1010mm., framed and glazed (previously folded).

Cross's map first appeared in 1828, and editions continued up to 1854. This edition takes in Regent's Park and Hyde Park in the west and stretches to Bromley and the East India Dock in the east. The hand-colouring identifies parks, areas of water, city boundaries and prison rules.
