Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with steel and 18K rose gold case, silvered dial and raised pink gold hour markers in 1940 and its subsequent sale on 15 July 1941.

Reference 617 was launched in the mid-1930s and remained in production until the early 1940s. It was available in yellow gold, in steel and in steel and gold.
