Specialist note
With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with raised steel hour markers in 1944 and its subsequent sale on 12 August 1944
The reference 565 offered here for sale is doubtlessly one of the best preserved and most attractive example of this highly popular model to appear in public in recent years. Its dial, finished in a most charismatic two-tone colour scheme, combined with the very technical yet smooth case proportions add up to a perfect look. In its over 60 years of existence, the sharp edges of the case have survived in an impressively crisp condition.
Research has revealed that only four other examples of reference 565 fitted with such two-tone dial layout have been offered publicly to date, however all showing subtle differences, rendering each watch unique in a way.
