Unidentified sale in Italy, lot 61, according to the auction catalogue entry and illustration attached to the reverse (with further partial collection labels).

See T. Wilson, Ceramic Art of the Italian Renaissance (London, 1987), p. 129, fig. XXVIII for a drawing 'which is apparently an early copy of a maiolica design by Battista Franco' which corresponds to the scene on this alzata.
