Specialist note

W. Holland and Sons supplied a large amount of furniture to Croxteth Hall during the end of the nineteenth century. The firm was also employed extensively at Sefton House, London. They not only supplied furniture but also were contracted for spring-cleaning, general household repairs as well as the seasonal closing and re-opening of the London residence when the family withdrew to Croxteth Hall.
