Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1948 and its subsequent sale on June 16 of the same year. Further accompanied by a Patek Philippe presentation box.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never before been offered in public.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 565 from 1938 until approximately 1952. This was the first large size waterproof watch with screw back and dust cover to protect against humidity.

Reference 565 is illustrated in Patek Philippe, Steel Watches by J. Goldberger, 2010, p. 185.
