Cal. 1030 nickel-finished lever movement, 25 jewels, mono-metallic balance, black lacquer dial, luminescent baton, disk and triangular numerals, luminescent Mercedes-style hands, central arrow tip hand for second time zone, magnified date aperture, center seconds, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, blue and red bakelite bezel calibrated for 24 hours, screw down crown, screw back, case, dial and movement signed, stainless steel Rolex Oyster link bracelet and deployant clasp

Specialist note

Rolex began production of the reference 6542 in 1954 with the first models bearing the bakelite bezel as seen in the present example. These were later replaced by metal bezels.
