With castellated rim, centre with rococo armorial cartouche and a narrow leafy band engraved around the outer edge of centre, on three escutcheon-shaped bracket feet

Specialist note

The arms are Smythe of Westerhanger, Kent, impaled by another. This was the family of the Viscounts Strangford.
