AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY DIAMOND-SET PENDANT, BY FUSET Y GRAU
Designed as a carved ivory flamenco dancer adorned with a diamond-set comb and necklace, to the tortoiseshell ground within an openwork floral arched frame and suspension loop with associated gold neckchain, circa 1920, pendant 9.5cm long, 5.4cm wide, neckchain 47.0cm long, with original silk brocade case by Fuset y Grau Joyeros, Barcelona

Specialist note

Fuset y Grau worked with a similar artistic style to Masriera in Barcelona over the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Although there is very little published about his jewellery, Fuset y Grau's pieces provided 'modern' inspiration for the International Decorative Arts 1925 exhibition in Paris.
