Patek Philippe's reference 5020 in pink gold is one of the rarest gems in the world of wristwatch collecting. Until today only 8 examples in pink gold have surfaced at public auction. Interestingly, it is understood that only a very small number were cased in pink gold.

The present example impresses by its crisp case lines and its beautiful dial. Thanks to its generous proportions, reference 5020 is easily distinguishable from other Patek Philippe wristwatches and takes a unique position in the production of perpetual calendar chronographs. Adding to its rarity, the case of this present lot was made by the renowned case maker Jean-Pierre Hagmann, whose mark, JHP, is stamped on the inside of the case back.

Reference 5020 was in production from 1994 to 2002, available in yellow, pink and white gold as well as in platinum.

The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 309.
