Calibre 5 1/2''', 18 jewels, silvered engine-turned dial with Roman numerals on blank chapter ring, secret signature at X, 18k pink gold rectangular curved case, back secured by four screws in the band, winding crown to the curved reverse, one cylindrical hooded lug to the upper end, 18k pink gold Cartier deployant clasp with cylindrical buckle attached to the bottom, case, dial and movement signed

The present watch is numbered 30 of a limited edition of 150 examples made in 1997 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the foundation of Cartier by Louis-Francois Cartier.

The model is a re-edition of Cartier's famous "Driver's" wristwatch launched in the early 1930s and fitted with a LeCoultre movement. The curved case was designed to be worn on the side of the wrist to facilitate the reading of time while holding the steering wheel of a car.
