The particularity of this lot is the red printed designation "Submariner" on the dial. Examples like this reference 1680 are also called "Red Sub" amongst collectors and are considered the most popular version of the first of all Submariners featuring a date indication. The present reference 1680 features a bezel insert which very homogenically turned grey over the last three decades.
