Tasting note: There were originally 6ha of vines and now there are 55ha (Cabernet Sauvignon 85 Cabernet Franc 15. The yield was 30hl/ha, average production 15,000 cases; two years in French barriques, 40 new. The '96 was being bottled at the time of my visit in April 1999: crisp, young fruit, lean, stylish. More recently: medium-deep, strawberry-tinted; bramble-like fruit on the nose and palate. Low-keyed, a fair amount of grip, hard finish. Needs time and food. Last noted at a Sassicaia tasting in London, May 2002 ***(*) M.B.
