This work, or a variant, is also included in L.J. Bol, Die hollndische Marinemalerei des 17. Jahrhunderts, Braunschweig, 1973, p. 117 as by Hans Goderis and signed 'H.G.' Differences between the two compositions can be found in the shoreline in the left foreground and sails of the two boats on the right.
