lithograph in colors with ink annotations, 1977, on wove paper, signed in pencil, dated '21/X/75' and inscribed 'Bat après correction', the 'Bon à Tirer' proof prior to publication of the book editions and the suite of lithographs, published by Maeght Editeur, Paris, the full sheet, in very good condition, framed
S. 12 5/8 x 9¾ in. (320 x 250 mm.)

Specialist note

Compared to the BAT for M.1113 (sold Christie's New York, September 2005) which was simply signed and annotated by the artist, this 'BAT'- or 'Right to Print'- proof bears specific instructions to the print studio for alterations to the composition. Miró has used red ink to correct the composition at the lower left; arrows highlight the adjustments and a pencil line indicates where the composition is to be delineated.
