FERDINAND PREISS (1882-1943); SCHMIDT-KASSEL (1867-1954)

Berlin sculptor Gustav Schmidtcassel was renowned for his high quality worksmanship. On rare occasions he is known to have executed bronze and ivory sculptures on behalf of Ferdinand Preiss, of which this is a rare example.
