A FRENCH UNIVERSAL SUNDIAL
signed on the plate Pigeon á Lyon [sic] and engraved with latitude for Grenoble, the reverse with latitudes of Paris and Lyon only, the octagonal case probably associated.

Specialist note

The incorrect accent in the signature, associated case and general appearance of this dial suggest a later manufacture (early 20th century?) in the style of those instruments signed "Pigeon à Lyon".
