Specialist note

Tom Garver worked as an assistant to O. Winston Link in the mid-1950s to photograph the Norfolk & Western Railway. Later, Garver authored The Last Steam Railroad in America: Photographs by O. Winston Link and served as founding curator at the O. Winston Link Museum in Roanoke, Virginia.
