A LOUIS XV BEECH BERGERE
BY DIEUDONNE, MID-18TH CENTURY
With floral carved cresting, the bowed seat with squab cushion on cabriole legs, stamped DIEUDONNE; covered in fabric by Antico Setificio, Fiorentino; the frame previously decorated and the front legs re-tipped
41 in. (104 cm.) high

Note du spécialiste

Whilst there is apparently no initial to the stamp, the date of the chair suggests it was almost certainly produced by Etienne Dieudonné II who is recorded as maître in 1740.
