Lot 107 The Property of the Late Mrs S.M. Ryde Deceased (lots 107-113)
Mrs Ryde inherited her family's furniture twenty years ago, adding to the collection on a whim when she saw something she liked. She was a typical English collector who lived comfortably and who was part of local Richmond life. Throughout the years, she bought things from well-established dealers to add to her collection with a particular leaning towards Georgian furniture. Mrs Ryde enjoyed her collection immensely and lived amongst it in the well proportioned rooms of her house on the green at Richmond, where she had lived for forty years.
