Specialist note

Black Monday, or The Departure for School and Dulce Domum or The Return from School are after paintings by William Redmore Bigg, published as coloured mezzotints by John Jones in 1790.
Obidiah and William Ryton (1738-circa 1820) and Jones and Taylor (1767-83) produced closely related trays at the Old Hall, Wolverhampton. A tray with identical borders is in the Collection of Wolverhampton Borough Council.
