Noël Gérard, ébéniste and marchand-mercier active 1710-1736, is recorded by Vial as being at the sign of the Cabinet-d'Allemagne in the rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine in 1719 and later in rue Saint Martin. His clients included Stanislas Leszczynski, the deposed King of Poland, the Spanish Ambassador, the Marquis de Castellas and the English Ambassador, Lord Waldegrave.
The stamp NG attributed to Gérard is also found on a bureau plat in the Toledo Museum.
