Cal. 560 finely engraved lever movement, 24 jewels, mono-metallic balance with one minute tourbillon carriage visible beneath the dial at 6 o'clock, silvered engine-turned dial, eccentric polished chapter ring, Roman numerals for hours and minutes, blued steel hands, fan-form sectors for 55 hour power reserve, retrograde 24 hour indicator, circular case with coin-edged band, sapphire crystal display back, case, dial and movement signed, 18k gold buckle

Specialist note

In 1795 Abraham-Louis Breguet invented the tourbillon to counteract the effects of gravitational pull on clocks and watch escapements. Gravity has a negative effect on timekeeping with a movement running slower or faster depending on its position. This tourbillon is considered an engineering and design marvel and given its complexity only a limited number of watches are produced each year.
