In the Vall/ae de Joux, sits the venerated Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre. Since its founding in 1822, it has given life to some of the most respected movements in the horological world such as the legendary Reverso, Duom/aetro, Atmos and Master Compressor. The Master Grand Tourbillon is a prime example of Jaeger-LeCoultre excellence, with an eye-catching guilloched dial and sophisticated 18k pink gold case. The much lauded calibre 978 resides within, constructed from an astounding 302 parts. The tourbillon carriage has been crafted from grade 5 titanium and is an incredible lightweight 0.28 grams, hence requiring less than the usual amount of energy to operate. A scarlet three-arm seconds hand ensures that our attention is drawn to the visible tourbillon regulator whilst the date hand automatically jumps over by around 30° from the 15th and 16th of each month so that our view of the tourbillon opening remains unobscured.
