Each with a turned pin with a hole for a steel attaching pen, issuing a shaped loop headed by griffin heads with grotesque boss and ribbed sides
15 cm. high x 17 cm. wide (2)

On loan to the Vrouwe & Antonie Gasthuys, Haarlem, Regentenkamer, until 2010.

Specialist note

The present handles are depicted on a watercolour by J. Fabius from ca. 1850, and on a watercolour by Willem Johan Boogaard (1842-1888) from 1856. Both works are in the collection of Kennemerland.
