Cal. 6P nickel-finished jewelled lever movement, oval lapis lazuli dial, oval case, textured bezel, back secured by two screws and engraved Miss Universe 1972, N. Barquet Joyeros, San Juan, P.R., suspended from the necklace composed of entwined corded wire set with cabochon lapis lazuli, case, dial and movement signed
32 mm. wide.

Specialist note

According to the Archives of Montres Piaget, the present necklace watch was manufactured in 1971.

According to the engraved inscription, one can assume that this necklace watch was destined as a prize for the 1972 Miss Universe winner. This contest was won by the Australian Kerry Anne Wells and was held at the Cerromar Beach Hotel in Dorado, Puerto Rico, on 29 July 1972. N. Barquet Joyeros is one of Puerto Rico's oldest jewellery retailer, located in San Juan.
