The cabinet of typical shape with a pair of doors decorated with figures standing around exotic flowering trees and enclosing an interior fitted with eleven drawers and similarly decorated with flower-filled vases and exotic landscapes, the giltwood stand with elaborately-carved and pierced rails, centred to the front by a shell flanked by winged putti, on double C-scroll legs terminating in volute feet, the backrail replaced, the cabinet with old paper depository label of Archer, Cowley & Co, Oxford, inscribed '.. C.F. Bell' and numbered '55', the stand with paper label 'W. WINGATE & JOHNSTON LTD.' numbered '1', the stand regilt and with later backboard
