stamped with the signature 'Degas' (Lugt 658, on the front of the base); numbered and stamped with the foundry mark '61/H CIRE PERDUE A.A.HEBRARD' (on the back of the base)
bronze with reddish brown patina, the tub with a dark brown and green patina
Height: 7 7/8 in. (20 cm.)
Original wax version executed circa 1896-1911; this bronze version cast between 1919 and 1937 or later in an edition of 20 numbered A-T plus two casts reserved for the Degas heirs and the founder Hébrard
