Cartouche-shaped box, the cover set with an oval miniature on ivory of Tsar Alexander II of Russia (1818-1881), in blue uniform, wearing the blue moiré sash and breast-star of the Order of St Andrew, the breast-star of the Order of St Vladimir, the badge of the Military Order of St George, and the Imperial Russian Badge for Distinguished Military Service, and the Prussian Medal for Distinguished Service, other orders, signed in Russian Cyrillic 'Rokshtul' (mid-left), set in old-cut diamond surround on frosted ground chased with foliate scrolls and set with six large old-cut diamonds, the base and wavy baluster sides engraved with rocaille, the four corners chased with c-scroll borders, raised foliate and scroll thumbpiece
