Painted in brown monochrome with amatory trophies within oval cartouches flanked by smoking urns and scrolling foliage and swags beneath a border of blue and purple scrolling foliage reserved with oval panels of flowers and simulated marble, gilt line rims

Specialist note

Jean-Joseph Boucot was a painter of flowers, patterns and birds at Sèvres from 1785 to 1791, and Henri-Martin Prévost was a gilder active at Sèvres from 1757 to 1797.
