Fernand De Magellan (1480 - 1521) is lauded as the first explorer to lead an expedition around the world. This timepiece plays tribute to his sense of adventure and exploration, with its original patented auxiliary mechanism. The sweep moving hour runs on a slightly recessed 120° minute track arc. The beautiful dial has been hand-painted by a master enameller, requiring thirty separate firings in the kiln so as to ensure the magnificent lustre of the pigments.
