Unsigned and various, circa 1920
Over 1270 models for dials of different sizes, materials, colours and designs, as well as 28 pages showing over 550 period black and white archival images of dials as follows:
Two portfolios signed Arnould Frères, Saint Imier, containing mainly dial models for pocket watch; one box containing dials for smaller table clocks, signed Bulova and unsigned, some with painted scenes; one large portfolio containing dial models for both wristwatches and pocket watches, some signed Gruen, Chronomètre Le Phare, Rex, Bulova, Nita and others, as well as black and white archival images of dials; two albums containing dial models for both wristwatches and pocket watches, some signed Movado, IWC, Longines, Vacheron & Constantin, Longines, Ulysse Nardin, Omega, Juvenia, Tissot, Eterna, Universal, Lusina, Hausmann, Tiffany, Alpina, Girard-Perregaux, one Rolex, two Patek Philippe.

Specialist note

The present lot comprises a large and interesting selection of different dial models mainly for wristwatches as well as for pocket watches and small table clocks, most probably partially manufactured by Arnould Frères of Saint Imier, Switzerland. Active in the early 20th century until the 1940s, the firm specialized in the production of high quality dials.
