The hinged hexagonal locket with engraved Arabic script back and front meaning 'Hope' against an apple green guilloché enamel ground, opening to reveal on one side a portrait photograph of a young lady the other side an inscription, O.H. & R.S.H, Sept 8th, 1896 to a pendant loop with later adapted bolt ring loop, in fitted tooled maroon leather case by Guichard, with attached manuscript label 'HOPE' and 'amal' , the silk lining stamped C & A Giuliano, 115, Piccadilly, London
