The Virgin and Child with Distaff and an Angel (Walch 9; Worthen-Reed, Griffiths & Hartley 8)
etching, circa 1615, a very good impression of Walch's third (final) state, with Le Blond's address, trimmed just outside the borderline (just inside at the lower right), a rust spot towards the lower left, the number 2 in pale grey ink in the lower left corner, minor defects on the reverse where previously mounted, otherwise in good condition
S. 255 x 186 mm.

Prints from the collection of John Barnard always had a particular allure to the collector. As Frits Lugt remarked: 'La marque de John Barnard est de toutes les marques anglaises, la plus révérée.
