Specialist note

Leverett was born in Nottingham and studied at Nottingham College of Art and Royal Academy. His first solo exhibition was staged at the Redfern Gallery in 1965. His work is represented in the Tate Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum and Museums of Modern Art in Brazil, Switzerland and Poland.
