the panel of duck egg blue ground woven with a floral motif in pink and green silk and silver metallic thread; the panel embroidered in coloured silks with a scrolling floral pattern on a neutral cotton ground embellished with silver metallic thread

Brocade panel: Mr & Mrs Roy A Hunt Sr.
Roy A Hunt Sr (1881-1966) and his wife Rachel McMasters Miller Hunt (1882-1963) were prominent Pittsburg citizens and philantropists. Mr Hunt served as President and Trustee of the Aluminium Company of America (ALCOA) which was founded by his father Alfred E Hunt. Mrs Hunt was a devoted student of botany, horticulture and book binding.
