The rectangular seat with rounded ends and a rosette and laef-carved edge, on foliate S-scroll supports
17½ in. (45 cm.) high; 51 in. (130 cm.) wide; 17 in. (43 cm.) deep

Almost certainly acquired by Shalcross Fitzherbert Widdrington (1826-1917) when in Rome in 1860 and by descent at Newton Hall, Northumberland.
