FIRST COMPLETE TRANSLATION OF HOMER'S ODYSSEY INTO SPANISH. Perez (d.1566), secretary to Charles V and Philip II, published his translation of the first 13 books in Salamanca in 1550, with a reissue of the same in Venice in 1553. This Antwerp publication contains the missing 11 books for the first time. EXTREMELY RARE; according to ABPC, the last copy to sell at auction was 1983. Adams H-800; Brunet III, 292; Palau 115893.
